Al Rettenmaier has 30 years of experience as an energy executive in the renewable energy, gasification, power generation, oil & gas and chemicals industries. He has managed engineering and construction for capital-intensive projects and has an in-depth understanding of how to develop and successfully implement large capital projects. His experience in project and business development, asset management, engineering, construction, and startup companies, allows him to assist clients on matters of strategy and execution related to due diligence, creditor advisory, and other advisory services pertaining to project financing.
He is an active participant in the proceedings of professional societies and associations, sitting on panels and committees for organizations such as the Construction Industry Institute (CII) and American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICE), among others. Mr. Rettenmaier has participated in extensive industry best-practices training through Independent Project Analysis (IPA), Engineering and Construction Contracting (ECC), Chevron Project Development and Execution Process (CPDEP), Shell Engineering Guides, and General Standards (EGGS).
