E3 has experience with a wide array of OGC projects. Our natural gas storage experience consists of detailed due diligence services for gas storage project lenders, investors, developers, and acquirers of gas storage facilities. Our technology experience includes depleted reservoir or domal salt cavern gas storage projects across North America. E3’s gas storage experience includes over 400 BCF of working gas capacity and approximately 20 projects. Our gas storage project work included detailed assessment of working gas capacity, injectivity, and physical deliverability. In addition, assignments have included reviews of the relative level of risk associated with a project’s performance, detailed design review of a project’s subsurface configurations and surface facilities, including compression, gas treatment, well completions, well spacing, water/brine handling, product measurement, pipelines, and interconnection facilities.

Petra Nova Carbon Capture Project, TX

E3 served as a technical advisor on CCS project

E3 provided a lender with a due diligence review of a carbon capture system CO2 compressor, 80 mile CO2 pipeline, and complete redevelopment of wells and surface facilities in the West Ranch Field to support new multiple reservoir CO2 injection and production patterns to implement CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOR) operations. CO2 will be permanently sequestered as individual reservoirs are abandoned following commercial oil recovery operations.

Oxy Elk Hills NGL Recovery Facility – Bakersfield, CA

E3 provided pre-acquisition review of gas processing facility

E3 performed due diligence on the acquisition of a 300 MMSCFD gas processing facility, including amine treating, oxygen removal, membrane separation, NGL recovery (including ethane) and fractionation for Development Capital Resources (DCR). In addition, a 500 MW combined cycle cogeneration plant was part of the acquisition, which is discussed separately. E3’s scope of review for the gas processing facility included reviews of the process design, NGL recovery performance, current mode of operation, CO2 management, integration of steam with the cogeneration plant, O&M history, O&M costs, condition of the facility, and more.

American Midstream (Midla)

E3 served as the independent engineer for replacement pipeline project

E3 provided due diligence for the replacement of the existing 370 mile, 22” Midla pipeline in Louisiana and Mississippi with a new 52 mile, 12” high pressure pipeline. The project also included the transfer of assets to a new operating company pursuant to the FERC Settlement Agreement. The project scope includes new pipelines, existing pipelines, compression, inerts reduction, nitrogen rejection, and dehydration. E3 also performed construction monitoring for the Midla pipeline project.
